FAQs

HOW LONG WILL OUR WEDDING FILM BE?

This all depends on the co-operation with yourselves on the day. The couple photoshoot that you have with the photographer on your wedding day is one of the key moments for me to capture just the two of you. The more footage we can get, the better. If your wedding photographer is one of those "rush and go" kind of people, I will recommend to you on the day to come with me separately so I can ensure we get the footage I need. Of course, I will try and make it as long as I can whilst staying within my film style. Usually the wedding film you will receive is between 6 and 10 minutes.

HOW LONG DO YOU STAY AT OUR WEDDING?

I don't have a time limit. Most weddings are between 12 and 14 hours but I don't time you. It's your wedding day and I'm here to ensure you have a great one and I won't leave until I'm 100% certain I have got all the footage I need to produce a high quality wedding film for you.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY WEDDING SUPPLIERS?

Of course! I've worked with many companies so I have phone numbers of people in most industries. I will not recommend anyone random, if I recommend anyone at all they have got my full trust and I know that they will go that extra mile for any wedding couple out there, including you and your partner.

WE HAVE A BIG WEDDING, CAN YOU DO THAT ALL BY YOURSELF?

Weddings between 0-90 I can easily handle all by myself and will almost try and get everyone in your wedding film. Weddings any higher than 90 I do recommend booking my extra videographer, don't worry it's my wife and not any stranger, she's as good as me.

ARE YOU INSURED TO FILM OUR WEDDING?

Yes! If you want a copy of my certificate, just ask. You shouldn't book anyone who isn't insured.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

My main cameras are Panasonic GH5’s, they are brilliant. I switched from Canon to Sony within 6 months into my business and then from Sony to Panasonic within the next 6 months and haven't looked back at all. I have a number of different lenses I use throughout the wedding to achieve the correct look. Sony TX650's are my wireless microphones to achieve the great sound you hear in my wedding films with very minimal editing needed and I bring my lighting equipment just in case your ceremony or speeches is taking place in a dark room.

WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING FEE?

The booking fee is £300, this completely secures your wedding date. I will always reserve your spot for a maximum of 7 days once you have contacted me and shown an interest although I reserve the right to offer the same date to other interested couples if you don't pay the fee.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE PAY THE BOOKING FEE?

Once you've paid the booking fee of £300 you will receive an email from myself with an invoice. It contains all the details such as your chosen wedding package, the mileage fee (if you have one) and a deadline date to pay the remaining balance.

WHEN DO WE HAVE TO PAY THE REMAINING BALANCE AND CAN WE PAY BY INSTALMENTS?

Of course you can! You can pay the remaining balance however you like as long as it's paid 7 days prior to your wedding date. I try and be as helpful as I can which is why you can pay me £20 one month and then £363 the next month, everything is tracked and logged.

WHAT IF I STRUGGLE PAYING?

Contact me. Pick up the phone or email me, I don't mind how - I need to know so we can sort something out.

CAN I PAY YOU AFTER THE WEDDING?

Unfortunately no. It costs me time and money before even attending your wedding and picking up my camera.

HOW CAN WE PAY?

I aim to always use bank transfers, just so you can keep track yourself if you wanted to without asking me, although I accept cash as well - don't worry this is tracked as well.

WHAT MAKES YOU SO DIFFERENT?

I'm not the best videographer in the country, although I'm not the worse. Everyone has their own style, everyone has a different personality. You aren't just buying a wedding package with me, you are buying me as well. I'm an all-in-one videographer and I will be seen as one of your guests as well as the videographer. I love to get stuck in, I love weddings. I know my stuff but I like to keep everything casual and stress-free. I love to ensure that the wedding couples who book with me, are my top priority. If one of you are having a nervous breakdown just before your ceremony, I'm going to sit you aside and try to calm you down. If you are in need of a hair clip, I've got your back. DJ needs a screwdriver? I've got it. Venue needs some duct tape? I've got it. All the little things that I might be able to help with, I'll be there just so you the wedding couple can enjoy your special day just as you imagined it.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET ILL?

Hahahaha. Don't worry, I'll be at your wedding. There is nothing stopping me from attending your wedding. I guess (touch wood) if I died in a car crash on the way to your wedding I can't but I have a couple emergency contacts just in case.

CAN YOU USE AN ED SHEERAN SONG IN OUR FILM?

Unless you want to pay thousands of pounds for the license, no. It would be illegal for me to do so without a license and my business could potentially be shut down and I'll be sued a large number of pounds - I don't want that. I have thousands of songs I can choose for your film which I'm licensed to use for my business - I choose the right ones for you as a couple to match you.

IS HAVING CHILDREN AT OUR WEDDING GOING TO MATTER?

It doesn't bother me in the slightest, children do some fantastic dance moves and it makes your film adorable. I'm not going to tell you to un-invite every child but I must warn you that because it's a live event, if a baby is screaming during your ceremony, your footage will be impacted audio wise and you must accept that there is nothing that I can do, I'll try my best to compensate but I don't have magic wand to edit out a scream when you say "I do."

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?

Pfft. I'll go anywhere me, it's a wedding for goodness sake. I'm not going to miss out! The furthest I've ever been so far is Manchester. Just remember about my mileage fees. I'll even travel abroad for you, just message me as mileage fees will be different.

WHAT IS THE MILEAGE FEE?

I work out the miles for the entire day starting from my office to the venue and back again. You will get the first 50 for free, it is 50 pence per mile thereafter.

I'M ANXIOUS ABOUT BEING FILMED?

I will meet you before you book. I will meet you before your wedding day and then I'll see you on your wedding day. Meeting me before your big day helps so much because we will become friends. You will feel so much more better on your wedding as you will know who I am, what I'm like and it'll be as if you've known me for years. If you are still anxious on your wedding day, I'll be able to tell and I'll try to work my magic on you one last time, if that doesn't help then I'll capture you without you even knowing, ha!

DO WE HAVE TO SUPPLY YOU A MEAL?

Yes please, a wedding is a long day. On a normal day I eat around 4 meals! Although I don't expect a full on three-course meal like yourselves - I'm too busy filming. A main meal or some sandwiches will be great and if there's a spare dessert, I'll have that.

WE'D LIKE TO GET YOU A GIFT, WHAT DO YOU LIKE?

If you don't already know me, Mini Cheddars are my thing. Although if you really want to hit the ball out the park, my favourite alcoholic drink is Dark Rum.

DO YOU BACKUP OUR FOOTAGE?

Yes, don't be silly! Once I get home from your wedding I instantly copy all the videos I film and all the audio from my microphones onto my external hard drive, my main computer and my online server.

WHAT DO YOU DO ON YOUR DAYS OFF?

Film. Film. Film. Edit. Edit. Edit. Taxes. Taxes. Taxes. Oh! Walk the dogs as well.

HAVE YOU GOT ANY REVIEWS?

Yes!
